Desktop Environment lighter than XFCE?

Spread the love

I am using Ubuntu for almost 7-8 months and comfortable with command line. I have a very low end Pc.
My system specs are
CPU – Intel Pentium CPU [email protected]
Ram – 2 gb ddr3 ram
Graphics Card – Amd Radeon HD 6450 2gb
Hard Drive – 250gb ssd

Recently I am facing performance issues with ubuntu and wanted to change from gnome to a light weight desktop. When I searched on google, I found most of the article recommending XFCE, LXQT or Mate. Some are also refering to KDE stating that it is now faster than XFCE but when I see some benchmark test on XFCE I found that even it takes around 500-600MB of ram.
Can anyone suggest me some other DE which is more lightweight than XFCE or LXQt.
