Wine game runs in the left corner of the screen when in fullscreen

Spread the love

I have Linux Mint 18 and I am trying to run Mugen on it. I have XFCE desktop with Composition disabled and Wine version 5.
The game runs perfectly fine in windowed mode but when I press ALT + ENTER to go to fullscreen the screen “seems” to go fullscreen but what I see is the game running in a small 60×480 res on the left bottom corner of the screen and the rest of my laptop screen is simply black.
In my main pc, I have Xubuntu 16.04 and this does not happen. The game does run at 640×480 but it covers the entirety of the screen ( the normal behavior you would expect ).
I am not “emulating a virtual desktop” in Wine, and mugen.cfg is set at opengl driver, and runs smoothly and fine ( except for running in a small part of the screen of course 🙁 )
Has anyone any idea of what might be happening?
